  • Mothers are soooo under rated!!

No way can I even begin to express the differance a mother can make...does make for mankind!!  One shinning example was given by my mom!  What a treasure!!

Mom Thank you for never walking away....giving up....or losing faith....God has blessed your efforts and your faith many times over.  I wish I could hug you and thank you in person.

Mom in law, Your courage and love continues to be a shining ligt for us all!  Keep on, in spite of  the tough times you are a thankful woman!  I love you!

Daughter, As a mommy you are so committed,  you have so much to give...and you are being a faithful and loving mom.  Keep it up girl!  I love the way you love your children and hubby. Keep on!

Now a word of tribute to the mother of our children....You too have not given up or walked away ..or stopped believing...many times you could have had reason to quit caring, because it hurt so much to love and give.  yet you haven't and won't!!  Thank You my lovely jewel. You are a precious lady!                         HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

  • BELIEVERS...Fight the good fight

Its been way to long since I have blogged.  The final 4 weeks of school are really packed.

Tonight my mind is sort of troubled....I hear the many voices of our government....our media....our talk shows...and I wonder "Where are we in the whole scheme of things according to God's time table?"  Is heaven ready?  Are the angels polishing their trumpets?   Would I be sad if the trumpet blast were heard now?  I know that so much hasn't happened when it comes to leading people to Jesus....or doing the things that count forever.

My life (at times) seems so consumed with the trivial or worst yet things that hinder my walk with God.  Am I really ready?  Oh I'm not worried about being a child of God.  That was settled long ago.  But in a culture that takes truth about as seriously as a trip to the grocery store, I wonder ...am I building on a solid sure foundation or hay and stubble? Will my choices will be embarrassing to me on the judgement day?  Will God really care if I went to church or didn't swear or gave money to the missionary?  Does it matter if I don't go to war? Does God care if I silently shrugged my shoulder about abortion?  divorce? gossip?  I think He does and yet I at times feel so adjusted to my surroundings that its ...well scary.

People,  Those who take the time to read my ramblings,  LETS RISE TO THE OCCASION! LETS GET ON THE OFFENSIVE IN THE WAR!!  DON"T BE AFRAID TO CALL SIN SIN!  LETS GET OUR ORDERS FROM OUR LORD AND WITHOUT APPOLOGY FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!  I really want to ...lead me Lord.

I Love God: & I Love My Church

    Honestly

Ok I just figured it out ...I am ...different!  No really sort of....ok I'll say, it weird.  I keep hearing people say that they didn't feel like coming to church but you can't go by your feeling so they just go.  I also hear people ( I'm talkin good fine christian folks here)  saying that they know they shouldn't but that they complain to much.  So I say STOP IT!

Wake up next Sunday morn and think..(thinking will take awhile for some of you,) but try anyway. Think this. "I am soooo happy I can crawl, for me its wobble, out of bed to the shower." Then on the way there, yell out loudly "HEY KIDS AND SWEETIE GUESS WHAT!! (pause for effect)  ITS AWESOME!! pause agian TODAY WE, pause YES WE, GET TO GO TO A SERVICE WHERE WE GET TO GLORIFY JESUS AND LEARN NEW WAYS TO DO KINGDOM WORK! WOW ! PRAISE THE LORD!"

Repeat this over until you get hit by a pillow or everyone is up saying thinks like "Wow! thanks dad, I am so looking forward to this too! Thank you Daddy for waking me early!" "Church is so much fun!"

Then you sing praises to Jesus as you: Put kids shoes on, Drink something hot, Kiss that lovely bride of yours! take your morning prayer walk, Pick out a clean shirt and pants,  (ok dress for the gals)  Put away your cheerios and rinse out the bowls and then do many other helpful things to enhance the opportunities of this 1st day of this week!

Get the pic??? We don't feel like it because we don't anticipate, appreciate and facilitate! (and some other ate words)  I am NOT being idealistic here.... We plan for church like we plan on goin to the bathroom!  We don't go until we have to!  What if some Sunday morn we woke and and couldn't go?? (not the bathroom duh, the church service)...I telling you we need to feel like going! We need to WANT IT  if we don't....(here comes my prophet bend) We got serious problems!!!   (there I said it)  Drop the ball games, the late night parties, the hours of videos, xbox, surfing, sniffing glue, working feverously, what ever it is that keeps you from feeling like church!  Oh and when you go to church and you just lost your car or job or something and the greeter says how are you. DON'T YOU DARE TELL THEM "fine"  NO NO tell them you need prayer and you want it NOW!  the poor greeter will not be greeter again as long as they let you come to that church. (hyperbole usage here)  Anyway as you can see this is a thing with me FEEL LIKE CHURCH! IF YOU DON'T? TRY GIVING WHAT YOU WANT OTHERS TO GIVE! Aw gotta go my wife is sweetly callin me from a nicely cleaned car to tell me its time to go!  I LOVE CHURCH!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?  THIS KID STILL FEELS LIKE GOING TO CHURCH!!

    love u!

    LETTING GO

    old tractor and stuff 009

So .....Here I am after another birthday, to old to remember my shoe size ...Well almost... and I'm doing some reminiscing.  I got this thing about reminiscing and its simple. WHO CARES?  I might sound a bit harsh here, but honestly does anyone care that you get a special feeling of pride when you see an old Oliver 66 Tractor?  old tractor and stuff 031

Its gotta be boring when you go on and on about the countless hours you spent on the seat of that thing in rough fields getting them ready for planting and who cares that you used the old rusty cub cadet to feed 250 fat screaming hogs ever day for 15 years?

    old tractor and stuff 033

Nor do they care that you painted the old Ford and put in a radio so that you had a decent pickup to drive around in Smyrna getting supplies?..with plastic Pep Boys hubcaps.

    old tractor and stuff 034

No  so I smile with all the memories and keep them to myself....Those HOT days on the tractor with all the dust and noise ...the sound of 250 hogs chowing down in a cozy barn....the clean little piggies... 12 of them nursing under the heat lamps...STOP! WHO CARES?

Its kind of hard leaving those days go and embracing the current moments..especially when I'm aware that I just don't fit in as much anymore.  The youthful robust face in the mirror now has a double chin, thick glasses, and white hair.  I know, I know, I am just glad to be alive but I miss my youth....my hopeless optimism that just beyond the next corner lies a new adventure.  I miss the admiration of the old people as I worked circles around them. Oh well..old tractor and stuff 014

Right now I am in a sort of sad mood but maybe tomorrow I'll be happier after my pain pills kick in and my back gets adjusted.... Why I remember the time I ......................was younger

    I just love it...hehehehehe
